Admissions
A readable guide to the published entrance process, evaluation, documentary requirements, and enrollment reminder.
Before you apply
Start with the entrance examination
Every applicant is subject to the institution’s entrance examination and must take it on the schedule announced by KCAST.
Admission process
How applicants are evaluated
- 01
Take the institutional entrance examination
Programs do not conduct separate admission examinations under the published guide.
- 02
Review the Stanine result
The poster identifies Stanine 4 and above for board programs—Education, Criminology, and Agriculture—and Stanine 3 and below for other offered programs.
- 03
Complete the applicable evaluation
Applicants to board programs with Stanine 4 and above proceed through entrance-result, report-card, and interview evaluation. The senior high school report card is assessed against the selected program’s grade policy.
- 04
Receive the program endorsement
Applicants must meet the program’s Stanine requirement and corresponding process before admission to the prepared program.
Board-program evaluation
Published scoring guide
For interested applicants with Stanine 4 and above, the poster requires at least 75% after the three evaluation areas.
- Entrance examination result
- 50%
- Senior high school report card
- 30%
- Interview
- 20%
- Total
- 100%
The published guide states that applicants with Stanine 3 and below are admitted to non-board programs only after an interview and senior high school report-card evaluation. Applicants in that range who want a board program are advised that its admission policy is applied strictly.
